About us
RMS (Rocky Mountain Slider) is an airsoft team comprised of members from all walks of life. We are heavily driven toward the MILSIM (Military Simulation) style of playing the Spobby (Sport Hobby). This doesn’t mean we don’t play other styles, but when you see us, you’ll know which side we tend to lean toward.
We have been active in communities across the Maritimes at one point or another. Additionally, Team RMS hosts MILSIM events at local fields to help share our experience and grow the sport and its membership within the Spobby community!
Our story
RMS was founded by Craig Doucet in 2009 while he was playing with the Atlantic Airsoft Society (AAS). During one game, he took a ride on his backside down the steep face of a cliff. To top it off, he happened to be holding his first M249 MK2. He protected it from being damaged at the cost of his own physical well-being.
This is where the team’s name came from; Rocky Mountain Sliders.
The team’s motto is “Stop Being Poor.” While the Spobby isn’t exactly cheap to get into, this motto isn’t about wealth. It speaks to the hardened mindset needed to push through the sometimes-unfair challenges we face, both in the game and in life.

Our mission
Team RMS is an advocate of the honor system that makes airsoft what it is. You won’t hear us calling out players who don’t call their hits. Our “pay-to-play” mentality means we’ll simply keep shooting until they finally do.
We are a strong-minded group that encourages others to build and grow their own teams as well. RMS facilitates a team mentorship program where interested groups of players can build their own team while gaining access to team patch designs, knowledge, experience, and skills to help them grow and develop. Our goal is to help these teams eventually become fully independent and stand on their own.
Team RMS also organizes team trips to large-scale events and travels to support regional MILSIM events. Whether we’re hosting, participating, or supporting from the sidelines, we believe in helping grow the airsoft community and building strong relationships between teams.
